JAPN 404 - Advanced Japanese for Presentational Communication
This course aims to develop an advanced level of academic communication to finalize research projects using appropriate research methods. Students analyze and synthesize their research findings to orally present and to write academic papers using APA style. This course is a companion course for WLC 400 (Major Capstone). Taught in Japanese.
This class as well others related to Language, helped me to fulfill the MLO1and it was the continuation of the JAPN 403 – Pre-Capstone. It focused on completing the capstone project in Japanese. It was connected with WLC 400 – Capstone, and I think it also fulfills the MLO4 Research and Technology, where my partner and I did research for our literature review. In this class I learned how to write academic papers and how to use proper grammar for developing presentation slides, which differ from how we should talk during our Capstone slide presentation. It was very helpful to complete our capstone project in Japanese. as well for we make a survey questions. Actually, this class had few a presentations in Japanese language which helped to prepare us for presenting at the Capstone festival. Furthermore, this class focused in the preparation for our final research paper in Japanese. In addition, I learned how to use correct grammar for different kinds of writing, which I can considered my AHA moment, because even though I knew basic Japanese, I didn’t know about all these styles of writing that were taught in this class.
