JAPN401: Structure of the Japanese Language
This course aims to develop basic understanding of structural features of Japanese language. Students will be introduced to basic phonological, morphological, syntactic, and discourse analysis of Japanese. Taught in Japanese.
Narrative:In this course, I was able to fulfill MLO1. In this class I had a chance to review some grammar and I learned various aspects of writing and speaking in Japanese language structure. I learned how to write a self-introduction (心に残る自己紹介). In addition, I learned the pitch accent in English which corresponds to “mora” in Japanese that the way we learned how is the intonations (high and low) and so on. It was very interesting to learning about “mora” intonations and pitch accent.
